Sports Massage

£40 (1 hour) - with Chris or Cheryl
Our massage treatments involve full functional movement assessments, a treatment plan and full after-care conditioning programmes. The sports massage therapy is specifically designed for athletes and for our more active customers and includes sports specific injury diagnosis and treatment, as well as in-depth treatment for sports injury prevention. Chris & Cheryl focus on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, lower back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders.

Deep Tissue Massage

£45 (1 hour) - with Cheryl
Deep tissue massage is a treatment that focuses on re-aligning deeper layers of muscles. It is used for chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck or sore shoulders, upper & lower back pain or muscle tightness in legs. Some of the strokes are the same as those used in classic massage therapy; but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain, in order to reach the sub-layer of muscles and the fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles).

Therapeutic and Relaxation Massage

£40 (1 hour)   £60 (90 mins) - with Cheryl
Therapeutic Massage Therapy is a combination of relaxation massage with other advanced techniques depending on individual requirements, such as deep tissue, trigger point, neuromuscular & myofascial release. It is the mobilisation of soft tissue (such as muscle, fascia and Lymph) to restore normal systemic and biomechanical/functional use. It can be used to assist in the treatment of most musculo-skeletal and associated problems, for example stress & over use. Regular therapeutic massage sessions can result in pain reduction, improved muscular, circulatory, lymphatic and neurological functioning.

Relaxation Massage Therapy is reported to be a great way to improve your general quality of life!  It’s instantly calming, can relieve stress, anxiety and depression. It can be both stimulating or soothing, helps to create a sense of improved mental & physical well being. Performed with light to medium pressure, aimed at actively relaxing the entire body, looking at lifestyle factors as an approach for enhanced results.

Acupressure / Kinesiology

£50 (1 hour) - with June
Thirty years of experience (since 1986) in clinic and in teaching both Touch for Health (Kinesiology) and Acupuncture (or Acupressure without the needles!) has given June a breadth of understanding of health issues from conception through pregnancy, labour, babies, children, teens, adults to older age. She is able to listen to your health concerns and help you focus on bringing all your symptoms together to make sense of them and find solutions - including giving you tools to empower you to take charge of your own health. Plenty of information about diet, stress, and other contacts for more information should you wish to look into things in more depth. June has helped people deal with minor complaints with digestion, skin, breathing, sleeping, through to life-threatening conditions and facing death. She can offer completely confidential, non-judgemental listening and support for anything you may wish to discuss with her. June's treatments include working on acupuncture meridians (the lines of energy that keep us alive), core muscles related to those meridians, sometimes with pressure, sometimes with light touch. Indian Head Massage

£35 (45mins) – with Cheryl
Often tension in the upper back, neck and head can lead to difficulty in performance, concentrating, causing migraines, headaches and back pain. This can make for uncomfortable living and difficulty in carrying on one's day to day activities. Indian head massage can give quick results; it’s highly relaxing, releasing and energising and perfect for stress, anxiety and tension areas.

It’s carried out mainly on the head neck & scalp. If needed, work on the upper back, shoulders and face can be included. Using a variety of techniques massage is carried out with the recipient sat on a low-backed chair, with the use of coconut oil on the skin and hair for additional benefits.
