Genesis is the relatively upmarket and sporty partner brand of Ridgeback. They are best known for their UK specific mountain bike designs with very high specification. As with Ridgeback, 'UK specific' means these bikes are made for our particular cycling conditions, instead of according to an international one-size-fits-all formula. Genesis are currently leading the welcome revival of steel framed bikes with the Altitude series. If you want some comfort, but don't want the expense and complication of full suspension then do check these out. The Core series are high spec and and fantastic value aluminium framed bikes. We like: The IO ID - high performance disc brake and Alfine equipped MTB.
