Ridgeback's Rapide range of bikes is the brand's highly successful staple range of versatile all-rounders. These bikes are good value and high quality British designed bikes in either lightly equipped trim, with rack and mudguards, or a more sporty unequipped trim.

We like them for their smart understated styling; their general lack of suspension forks - which we feel to be unecessary for this type; and their more consistent use of high quality Shimano parts than you will find on other brands. We also feel that they are particularly light for this class of bike - especially at the bottom end of the range.

The Motion is the entry-level bike in the Rapide range and one of our cheapest adult's bikes. It's a high quality budget bike aimed at the recreational cyclist, equipped with 21 speed Shimano gearing all carried by an attractively styled light aluminium frame and rigid steel fork. It's not equipped with any accessories, but we have categorised it as a comfort hybrid due to the fact that it's farily upright and the fact that most customers like to equip this bike with rack and mudguards.
