Trailerbikes are great for that age when your child is big enough to cycle, but not quite competent enough to cycle on the road unassisted.

Adams Trail-a-bikes are probably the best budget trailerbikes on the market. We like them because they have more practical fetures than many of their rivals. They fold and have durable steel mudgurads and chainguards. They also feature more options than most other brands - including different sizes to suit different sized children.

Adams spare sleeve hitch

The Adams 24" Trail-a-bike is designer to fit an older child - up to 10 years. Seven speed gears allow your child to keep up with the pedalling at different speeds as well to learn all about gear changing. It has a simple, steel frame that folds in the middle for storage or transport and comes with a durable steel chainguard as standard. A rear steel mudguard is also available as an extra. It is good for larger, perhaps less confident children or those with special needs who need adult support just that little bit longer.
