The Core range from Genesis represents a real British alternative to the usual, 'US-centric' MTB design. So what makes them so special? UK mountain biking conditions are especially unusual: wet, windy, short and steep! We like our bikes high at the front, short at the back and as comfortable with winding up hill as they are thrashing down. We also need huge mud clearence, wide gear ranges, adjustable forks and decent tyres to cope with the wet. Genesis have considered all this in designing the updated Core range. Why buy a machine designed overseas when you can have one tailor-made for the trails outside your back door?
The Creme-de-la-creme of the Genesis Core range; the all new Core 26.5 frame uses double butted 6061 aluminium with a tapered headtube. Rockshox Reba RL forks provide 120mm of rock munching travel, and a 15mm axle to keep your wheel straight through the roughest rock gardens. Shimano M666 brakes, beefed up with a 180mm front rotor, allow you to stay in complete control down even the hairiest of descents. Using Shimano's 3x10 Deore/SLX system, the Core 26.5 enables you to climb sections, until now, not thought possible by man. While the super stiff front end and powerful brakes give you the confidence to turn right round and blast straight back down again!
