The Gazelle Street 'Sports' range are Dutch City bikes featuring aluminium frames, hub gearing, contemporary styling and specification. All offer a very upright riding position, which is neverthelsss easily altered at the handlebar stem without tools.
There are three basic frame designs: the contemporary hydroformed shape of the Chamonix; the more traditional round tubes of the Orange, with a more curvy shaped women's frame; and the angular tubing of the Paris, with it's mixte style in the women's.
The geometry will give you a slightly livelier ride than the Street Comfort range.
The Chamonix Lite, like the Orange Lite, is a premium slimmed version of a hugely popular sporty city bike. It uses the same aluminium frame and Nexus Premium 8 speed huub gears as the Chamonix Excellent, but way, way lighter. The lightweight front fork with integrated spring suspension, the V-brakes instead of hub brakes, the battery lights, the lightweight rear rack all contribute to the lightening of the Chamonix. The result is a bike not unlike the Gold Line Aristo of a couple of years ago, which was a much more expensive bike. The end result is a highly practical, yet sporty city bike, with all the bells and whistles, that tips the scales at 16.3kg - that's 3.6kg lighter than the Chamonix Excellent.

Axa frame locks
All Gazelles have a frame lock fitted at the rear of the bike, which immobilises the rear wheel at the flick of a lever. This means that an opportunist thief will have to carry your pride and joy away. If you use it in conjunction with a good D-lock, you have great security.
The lock always comes with 2 keys - if you lose them or damage them, all is not lost. We have outlined all you need to know here.
