The Ridgeback Ramble 1.0 is the more economical version of this all purpose traveller; but one that makes few compromises. Shimano 18 speed Sora is in its current incarnation a nicely finished and very effective groupset with the same wide ratio gearing as featured on the model up (50/34 front and 11-34 rear). Its brakes - Spyre Cs, are widley regarded as the best mechanical disc brakes brakes and have the distinct advantage of compatibilty with all conventional cable operated dual control levers. So keep it simple, and all the rest...
Keep it light for fun, for fast commuting and day rides, or keep in loaded for the rest of the world. With a steel frame for resilience and carbon forks for comfort and to keep the weight down.
Semi compact diamond
Army green / black
The Rambles are a more contemporary variant of Ridgeback's classic travelling 'World' range.
Addressing the need for a touring/cross hybrid, they pair slightly racier geometry and gearing with chunky off road tyres and disc brakes to create a purposeful and versatile mount that is fun when ridden as it comes right out of the shop; or equipped and loaded for the travelling hobo.
Both models are thoughtfully specced with cromoly frames paired with carbon forks and wide ratio compact double road bike gearing and tip top mechanical or hybrid disc brakes.
