The upright riding position from the adjustable quill stem, the integrated lights and frame lock all nod to the Gazelle tradition of low maintenance city bikes. However the Gates belt-drive powering the Shimano Alfine 8 speed hub gear looks purposefully to the future, offering light weight, reliability and clean and quiet operation without the need for lubrication. The result is the Chamonix S8 with its light weight, and balanced blend of high technology and traditional city bike features to entice a wider and younger audience towards transport enlightenment. Smart and very fit for purpose, we love it!
