The Tour de Fer range from Genesis are the bikes that were designed with exploring the world in mind. Built to carry expedition-ready loads smoothly and sedately wherever you choose to go. That said, the Tour de Fer's are equally at home with the work commute or carrying all the provisions for a weekend picnic with friends and family. The Tour de Fer 20 comes only as a standard Flat Bar version with a more upright position.
Without doubt there are faster, racier more exciting bikes out there but the Tour proudly claims to be none of these, delivering a solid, no-fuss, reliable ride day after day without complaining.
The Tour 20 Flat Bar is based around the highly accomplished Reynolds 725 steel frame and fork and kitted out with the next step up Shimano Deore groupset. The triple chainset and 10 speed 11-34t cassette provide even more ample gearing than the Tour 10 for fully laden hilly routes without spinning out while enjoying the downhills. Combine the frame with cable disk brakes and the infamous, almost-puncture-proof Schwalbe Marathon tyres and you have security, comfort and durability providing maximum ride enjoyment.
The Tour de Fer range all come pre-loaded with full length mudguards (indespensible, let's face it), Tubus rear rack, front rack fixings and three mounted bottle cages. The Tour de Fer 20 includes the front rack and also has a dynamo hub, powering front and rear lights. All you need are some panniers, bottles and a plan and the Tour 20 will be more than happy to oblige. #letsgotouring
